PAYMENT & INSURANCE DETAILS

We realize that speech therapy is an important investment of both time and money. It is our goal to provide services that are accessible to those who need them.  Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns about cost and we will be happy to discuss options with you.

Electric City Therapy is an out-of-network provider, full payment of service is due the day of service. Our billing relationship is directly with the client, not the insurance company. Patients are responsible for paying the full fee amount prior to rendering services. Once you have received and paid for the service, you may seek reimbursement from your insurance provider. Upon request, ECT will issue a receipt(s) (“superbill”) that you can submit to the insurance company. It is strongly recommended that you verify the exact details of your speech therapy benefits before assuming that services will be covered.

We do offer prompt pay discounts for purchasing bundle packages. For more information regarding our bundle discount packages please email billing@electriccitytherapy.com

We accept cash, check, and all major credit cards. All clients are required to keep a valid credit card on file with our office, even if you will not be paying in this manner on a regular basis.

Please note, prices are quoted with one CPT code, if additional codes are used, or more time is spent, the cost may increase.  You are responsible for knowing your benefits and submitting for prior authorization, if required. Your insurance company will be your contact for questions about your specific plan.

Does your insurance cover speech therapy?

Many insurance companies do reimburse for out-of-network speech therapy services. The only way to know is to call the insurance company and ask.

After you pay Electric City Therapy for services, you may request an itemized receipt of payment (known as a “superbill”) that you can turn in to your insurance provider in order to request reimbursement from your insurance directly.  Electric City Therapy, LLC CANNOT bill any insurance company that we are not in-network with.  If requested, we can provide you with evaluation results and treatment notes, but we are not responsible for insurance’s coverage/reimbursement determinations.  Any payment arrangements and communication regarding coverage is between you and your insurance company.

Please request a handout from our office for more information.

APPOINTMENTS & CANCELLATIONS

Regularly-scheduled therapy appointments represent an agreement between you and/or your family member’s therapist. A particular time slot will be reserved for the client.  Please give serious consideration when establishing the frequency of therapy sessions, as it is important for you to regularly attend therapy sessions.

Attendance and participation in therapy along with complete compliance with any associated home programs, are essential for therapeutic success.

While Electric City Therapy, LLC understands that illnesses and emergencies occur, we respectfully request that you avoid frequent cancellations or “no shows”.  Please adhere to our following policy regarding providing our office with advance notification for any cancellations resulting from a conflicting appointment, vacation, obligations for work or family, or any other event.

  • All cancellations must be submitted 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment.

  • A fee of $60.00 may be assessed if the client fails to show up for a scheduled appointment and/or if the appointment is cancelled less than the required 24-hours. This fee will be billed directly to the client and not their health insurance company, as medical insurance does not provide coverage for missed sessions.

  • If you reschedule / are late for three (3) scheduled appointments within a 30-day time period, the office will reserve the right to discharge the client.  Additionally, if you arrive late for a scheduled appointment, the session will still end at the scheduled time or may be cancelled.

  • If you fail to appear for an appointment (no show) without providing the appropriate advance notification for 2 or more appointments within a 30-day time period, the office will reserve the right to cancel all pending appointments and to no longer offer services to you as a client.
