The first point of contact to speech and language therapy. You will be able to voice any concerns through your referral.
The speech and language therapist will assess the client’s speech, language, communication, and feeding skills based on the concerns voiced in order to identify any difficulties.
A treatment option is tailored to each client’s individual difficulties and main concerns will be provided in order to improve their skills.
Every patient may be reviewed and reassessed as part of the therapy process
in order to identify any improvements
being made or to ensure the therapy
option is still the most appropriate intervention. Re-evaluation
testing is required annually.
Review & Reassessment
Once the patient has overcome their difficulty or have achieved their best possible outcome, discharge from the service may be suggested by the speech language pathologist.
